Andy Hawkes - Corporate Finance Director

Andy is a director in our Exeter office, providing the full range of corporate finance services to clients across a wide range of sectors.  His particular specialisms are in financial due diligence (having completed more than two hundred buy-side and sell-side due diligence mandates during his career) and in advising clients on their acquisition and disposal strategies.  He also heads up Bishop Fleming’s specialist share valuations team and acts for the courts in expert witness work.  Andy has a degree in Civil Engineering from Birmingham University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.  He is a member of the ICAEW’s valuations faculty.

Following thirteen years in audit and transaction support services roles with international advisory firms, Andy moved into a full time corporate finance advisory role with Bishop Fleming in 2003.

His most recent experiences include:

Advising an international group on its acquisition of a medical components manufacturer; Advising a group of minority shareholders on their £30 million exit from a major drinks group; Acted for the vendors of a food distribution company to a direct competitor; Provided due diligence with respect to the acquisition of a London-based printing company; Advised the board of a newly-formed company on its public-to-private transfer of an existing NHS county wide dental contract; Financial modelling and strategic support to a variety of companies applying for grant awards; Advice on the setting up of the UK’s first major crowdfunding platform.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. His qualifications include BEng FCA.
