Robert Bailey - Tax Director

Robert is qualified as a Financial Advisor and as a Chartered Tax Advisor.

He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989 with a Plymouth firm. His qualifications include BSc FCA CTA AIIT and he is a member of the Stamp Taxes Practitioners Group.

After a period in practice, he moved to a major training and consultancy company becoming Operations Director, before returning to Cornwall in 2002 and setting up his own firm in Truro, specialising in advising the construction industry on taxation matters. This business merged with Bishop Fleming five years later.

Robert continues to have a particular interest in property taxes and is the firm’s Stamp Duty specialist but deals with all aspects of taxation including corporate, personal, capital and employment taxes and VAT.

Away from the office, Robert is a keen golfer, fighting to overcome his handicap – a total lack of talent for the game!
