Worcester-based Top 30 advisory firm Bishop Fleming continues its rapid growth after clinching a major client win as part of a Pan-European initiative.
The firm, which delivers accounting, tax, corporate restructuring and advisory services to businesses, charities and academies, and private wealth advice to individuals, celebrated winning the UK audit of the international Zetor Tractors group, which also has branches across Europe as well as the USA and India.
Bishop Fleming collaborated with fellow member firms of the Kreston International network, which covers more than 100 countries, to secure the deal with the Czech Republic group, which will see the Worcester firm undertake the audit of the Zetor group’s UK corporate presence, as well as assist in the consolidated financial results for the worldwide group.
The Worcester-based Chair of Bishop Fleming, Ian Smith, commented: “This marvellous win as part of our membership of the Kreston network, alongside our increasing international client work, our connections with the globally-focussed Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, and our award-winning corporate finance and tax teams confirms our international credentials as the firm to come to when companies need clear and practical advice on developing their overseas markets.”
Mr. Smith added: ”What really differentiates Kreston from the other international networks is that Kreston firms actually know each other personally, so the people involved in the Zetor bid had recently spent time together in Cambodia at the Kreston World Conference.”
Zetor Tractors started in 1946 in Czechoslovakia and now exports to over 136 countries, having sold over 1.3 million tractors worldwide (http://www.zetor.co.uk/).
The Bishop Fleming Chair remarked: “We are increasingly seeing how co-operation on a Pan-European and even global scale can help UK firms enhance their market reach to the continent and beyond. Bishop Fleming has shown that by strategically teaming up with our overseas partners we can secure a greater share of international work. We can help our clients achieve the same.”
Ian Smith added: “Our part in Kreston’s Pan-European bid for the Zetor work is a great example of why Bishop Fleming remains is one of the fastest-growing firms of accountants in the UK. And as we approach Brexit, we see an increasing number of opportunities for doing business overseas. Our Worcester-based international tax specialist, Chris Walklett and VAT expert, Wendy Andrews, are both involved in a number of ongoing overseas projects for clients.”
Bishop Fleming has a wealth of experience working with family run and owner-managed businesses.
