COVID-19: A message to our clients and contacts

16th March 2020

We recognise that the current situation surrounding COVID-19 will be a cause of major concern to everyone, including ourselves. However, we want to assure our clients, prospective clients, contacts and suppliers that we are committed to ensuring the continuity of our services to you.

Our approach has been, and will be, to closely follow government guidance and to implement measures as required to this rapidly changing and dynamic situation. We want to reiterate that we are prepared and ready to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 as much as possible.

For more information and guidance, visit our Knowledge Hub.

How are we tackling this situation ourselves?

  • We have a large business continuity team covering all areas of our business who met recently to test our business continuity procedures
  • As the Coronavirus situation developed, we installed a central team to co-ordinate our response to the COVID-19 epidemic. This team is in daily contact.
  • Our business continuity plan covers our business in full, our people and our clients.
  • We have the ability to communicate with our people through a range of electronic means.
  • We have measures in place to support our people as they face their own challenges around this situation.

How are we dealing with the impact of COVID-19 on our business?

  • Following the latest government guidance we will be activating our plan for our people to work remotely and from home, and we have the technological capability to enable this.
  • We are keeping our people abreast of developments on daily basis through mobile, online, intranet, email and other communication channels.
  • To reduce the chance of contamination, we have reduced all unnecessary business travel. Meetings and training have been replaced with virtual meetings.
  • We have postponed all event activity for the foreseeable future.
  • All of our teams and support services have reviewed business processes to ensure that we can continue to deliver our services with minimal disruption to you.
  • We would like to assure our clients that our work, information and data are secure and accessible remotely.

Our client assurance

  • We are ready to ensure our services can be delivered to you as seamlessly as possible and any disruption is minimised.
  • We are happy to adapt our work with you to meet any individual policies and approaches of your own.
  • We will work with you to consider how meetings and on-site work can be otherwise achieved and where possible, conduct work through alternative means of remote working.
  • We are also very conscious that some of you are going to require additional assistance through this difficult period and we will be available to work with you through this challenging time.

We will update this guidance as the situation evolves but if you have any concerns about our services to you, please do not hesitate to speak to your Bishop Fleming contacts directly.

Kind regards

Andrew Sandiford - Managing Partner
